In-keeping with the brief it was set I felt it was vital that the collateral I did decide to brand was relevant and appropriate to my 'big idea' and not just generic mock-ups. Unfortunately I found extremely hard to source images for what I wanted to brand and although appropriate and considered the original mock-ups are not as professional as I would like.
After my portfolio review with Andy Lodge as I began to think more about polishing briefs in order to get them up to the high standard expected in a graduate portfolio I revisited the brief.
In order to get a more professional finish and a sense of continuity throughout the project I decided to produce my own vector illustrations of products which I could then apply the branding to.
Tool box which the residents would be given when they move into the home to help them personalise there own space with their families
Picture frame which would be hung up their room, for family photos etc.
Teabags, possibility for a kettle and / or biscuit barrel to be branded? Typical homely items.
Plant and plant pot again to make the space more homely.
A greetings card in order to welcome the new resident personally.
Branding Guidelines
I am really happy with how the vector illustrations have turned out and I think these mock-ups are a lot more in-keeping with the branding than the photographic versions.
